Unlike pick-from-pool lotteries, Proto’s 7 positions are independently uniform. No frequency, gap, or recency pattern in the data can give an edge.
The odds of a full jackpot match are fixed at 1 in 10,000,000 every draw.

Everything about Proto. Numbers, timing, odds, and ticket costs.
Proto is OPAP’s unique digit-matching lottery: the draw produces a 7-digit number where each digit is independently drawn from 0 to 9.
Players match consecutive digits from left to right to win across 6 prize tiers. Draws are held three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 21:00 EET.
Most lotteries let you pick numbers. Proto works differently: your ticket has a pre-printed 7-digit slip. The draw produces a 7-digit number and you win by matching consecutive digits from right to left.
Match the last 2 digits for a small prize. Match all 7 for the jackpot. Since each digit is drawn independently (0–9), the odds of a perfect match are 1 in 10,000,000.
Proto draws Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 21:00 EET, the same days as Joker. Six prize tiers exist: tiers 2 through 6 pay fixed amounts (€2 to €25,000).
The jackpot (tier 1, all 7 digits) is shared among winners and rolls over when there are no jackpot matches.
This page shows the latest 20 Proto draws with the full 7-digit winning number. Results come from the OPAP public feed and appear here within minutes of the draw closing.
Each digit is displayed as its own ball for easy comparison to your ticket.
Straight answers to the questions our visitors ask most often, with a South African lens.
Proto (Greek: Πρωτο) is an OPAP lottery that draws a 7-digit number, each digit from 0 to 9 independently.
To win the jackpot your ticket must match all 7 digits exactly. There are 6 prize tiers: matching all 7, the last 6, last 5, last 4, last 3, or last 2 digits.
Proto is drawn three times a week: every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 21:00 Eastern European Time.
In South Africa this is approximately 20:00 SAST during Greek summer (UTC+3) and 21:00 SAST during Greek winter (UTC+2).
The Proto jackpot (matching all 7 digits) is a pari-mutuel prize with no fixed minimum guarantee advertised by OPAP. It resets when won and can grow to several hundred thousand euros on rollover runs.
Unlike Lotto or Joker, Proto does not ask you to choose from a pool of numbers. Instead, your ticket has a pre-printed 7-digit number.
You win based on how many consecutive digits (from the right) match the drawn combination. This makes it closer to a scratch-card mechanic than a traditional pick-your-numbers draw.
